Dr Anton Nel is a wine researcher, lecturer, former winemaker and passionate advocate for the wines and people of Wellington.

His Terroir Boutique Wine Shop at the Old Tannery is a destination for a curated selection of wines from across the Wellington wine region – including boutique and lesser-known producers.

Visitors can enjoy curated wine tastings as well as book 'meet-the-winemaker' experiences, sign up for wine courses, arrange food-and-wine pairings and wine tours, while discovering the history, people and unique terroir that make Wellington special.

For Anton, wine is both a science and a story. His background in winemaking, research and wine education allows him to share wine in an informative yet approachable way – whether you are a wine enthusiast, a curious traveller or simply looking for a memorable experience.
